As a Commis 1, youare responsible to assists his superior(Chef de Partie) to prepare all food in his assigned kitchen, prevent foodspoilage through daily checks and ensures that all incoming and outgoing fooditems are up to agreed standard, have full knowledge of all menus being offeredin the respective kitchen at any one time, to ensure that all kitchen Mise enPlace is prepared according to production plan, to carry out daily checks ofall refrigerators and freezers, check food storage areas and refrigerators forcleanliness and proper functioning on a daily basis, maintains a consistentquality of food preparation & presentation in his assigned section, rotatesall kitchen food stock items using FI FO method, to ensure highest standards ofhygiene are adhered to throughout Food preparation process, keep Chef de Partieinformed about all aspects of assigned section, including equipment, workingenvironment, staff problems and departmental relations, responsible for thecleanliness of respective section, ensure all equipment is being maintained andcleaned regularly, always keep workstations clear, clean and tidy, ensure Miseen Place is always done according to business demands, assist in other foodproduction areas as and when required, actively participate in all trainingactivities, ensure full cooperation with all other service colleagues anddepartments, participate and serve guests during outside catering as and whenassigned, perform any other duties as required by the Executive Chef, ExecutiveSous Chef or Sous Chef from time to time, co-
operate with the company to achieve compliancewith FLS legislation, take moral and legal responsibility for conductingthemselves in their work so they do not expose themselves or others to risk,read, understand, and implement the relevant sections of the FLS Policy

Qualifications and Technicalskills :
Bachelor's degree holder / higher education qualification / equivalent in hotel management or related field
Three or more years of experience in a hotel setting
Good command of English is a must, Arabic is an advantage
