DESCRIPTION : As a Senior member of the Field Ops function, the Area Field Ops Manager will manage day-to-day Operations with the goal of operational excellence while ensuring that all company values are realized in the area.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Specific responsibility for Field Ops team to ensure dispatch of technicians and equipment is done efficiently and effectively to meet customer requirements.
Field Ops Manager must pro-actively collect accurate data about his / her team and use this data to develop and implement strategies to optimize coverage, quality and utilization.
Provide strategic guidance to the business based on KPIs / Metrics to maximize efficiencies and quality of the operational team.
Ensure Field Ops team is adequately :
Responsible for developing and delivering against operational budget. Notwithstanding any of the above, successful performance will include :
Diligently and strategically reviewing company spend to optimize cost base.
Discharging his / her cost approval responsibilities with a focus on company policy, compliance and restraint.
Implement and maintain processes and procedures associated with operations functions in the area and pro-actively contribute to the development of processes and procedures ensuring area aligns with global standards.
Oversee work performed by the Area Revenue Super user and ensure accurate billing of jobs.
Work closely with the Area Warehouse, Inventory and Logistics functions to monitor and ensure inventory and asset control.
Act as Global HSE teams Area HSE Representative to ensure team implements, develops and complies with RigNet's Quality, Safety, Environment and Health Policy.
Ensure all RigNet sites meet local Area regulatory requirements such as VSAT site licenses, frequency licenses, equipment type approvals and Field Tech working permits.
In addition, this position will be the primary local support for RigNet Compliance Department for entity level application and management of Operating type licenses.
Provide support as necessary to the Area Finance Manager to meet local Statutory Administration requirements.
Work closely with Sales and Sales Engineering Departments to ensure deliverability in the sales and solution phase.
Assist the Sales department as requested and is reasonable in the pre-sales stage.
Work closely with Sales to identify and execute Global Expansion / new country entry initiatives.
Manage team to comply with the QSMS procedures defined by RigNet.
Other responsibilities as directed by RigNet Management.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
University degree in relevant business or technical field (preferred).
Minimum of five (5) years management experience in operational and / or similar function.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in remote communications preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Experience with operations in the area preferred.
Background in the oil & gas industry preferred.
Fluent in English.
Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task under these conditions.
Must have the ability to organize and lead teams in disparate geographies.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and / or evening work.
Description : This position requires a moderate amount of stamina with the ability to perform the above essential job functions and within timetables.
Some overtime work will be required.
Lifting : The employee must be able to lift up to 5 lbs. frequently and up to 25 lbs. occasionally for short durations.
Carrying : The employee must be able to carry up to 5 lbs. frequently and up to 25 lbs. occasionally for short distances.

Environmental Considerations : The employee will in most cases work in a central air-conditioned building; however, may be exposed to dust, fumes or gases and to changes of weather when exposed to outdoors at job sites or other locations.
