You’ll have ambition,talent and obviously, some key skills.

Under the general guidance and supervision ofthe Executive Chef or delegate, responsible for the day to day operation of theItalian restaurant kitchen.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and order all items on the requisition list for the Italian Restaurant
  • Responsible for maintaining food quality and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef in menu development and presentation
  • Work closely with Executive Chef to standardize recipes
  • Responsible along with Executive Chef in maintaining overall food & labor cost within budgetary guidelines
  • Maintain standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen. Must be actively involved in staff recruiting and monitoring their performance
  • Set standards and maintain food presentation quality in the outlet at all times
  • Execute all production and plating in a timely, efficient manner and to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Source out new products and supplies to constantly develop menus
  • Remain on top of culinary trends & seek always to improve Italian culinary trends
  • Ensure that proper par stocks of all food items are maintained
  • Ensure that standard recipes are being followed at all times
  • Motivate staff and maintain discipline at all times
  • Ensure that all cook and hold temperatures of meats and sauces are maintained as per company guidelines
  • Responsible for monthly inventory of all items in the Italian kitchen on last day of the month
  • Health, Safety and Security Responsibilities.

    Qualifications

  • Preferred candidate should be a college / university degree graduate with a minimum of two years experiences in a similarcapacity / function in an international five star hotel with preferableprevious experiences in the Middle East;
  • with strong background in HACCPprocedures and application.Importantly,we are looking for a culinary expert with pride, passion and energy that cansupport in leading and developing a great team and drive excellent food quality.

    Having an eye for detail and creativity to look at things differently will be akey to developing the Food and Beverage Experience.

    An outgoing personality isalso important whilst representing the Crowne Plaza brand

    Ultimately,you will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication inEnglish.You will be a self-starter,hands-

  • on leader and you will be able to demonstrate understanding of thebusiness and link the business environment to IHG commitments;
  • have a highlevel of drive for results and ability to lead and motivate team members toachieve the results; will be adaptable and flexible with the ability to buildrelationships in a multi-
