Educational Qualifications Bachelor degree in a related discipline with 8 years of relevant experience with progressive proven experience leading a Contracts management function of which 4 years of Managerial experience.

Managerial level in a multi-disciplinary organization with a record of success in Contracts Management linking service delivery to strategic objectives.

Post-graduation qualification in the related discipline will be advantage. Professional Qualifications i.e. Certification in Purchasing & Supply from Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (UK), Lean Six Sigma, Business Continuity, etc.

will be an advantage.Special Skills & Knowledge Proficiency in English (Reading & Writing) Proficiency in MS Office Strong analytical skills.

Thorough market knowledge. Mastery of International trade terms & conditions. Some technical understanding of Airline industry requirements.

Business networking skills. Proven track record with excellent influence and negotiation skills. Mastery of legal contracting requirements.

Proficiency in contract drafting. Strong managerial background working within diverse teams. Strong business acumen. Have a proven track record of managing contracts within and organization and dealing with external service providers / vendors / consultants.

Have a deep understanding of the business and contractual requirements and various aspects of commercial driving factors.

Experience Required As mentioned above

STRATEGIC

  • 1. Develop contracts management strategy by identifying the contracts required for various departments. To ensure that the contract requirements are factored into the tendering & contract strategy based on the business strategy encompassing all departments and including details required to ensure accurate and cost effective procurement;
  • 2. Engage and collaborate with all stakeholders to deliver standard contract templates that fulfills business expectations.

    OPERATION

    6. Support Vice President Supply Chain Management in delivery of agreed KPIs. Develop and build KPIs on process lead time, compliance, customer satisfaction and others.

    Supervise KPIs related to contracts management and cascade at all levels.

    7. Participate in setting contracts strategies. Develop contracts planning and handle administrative duties related to contracts and supervise overall section activities to ensure proper application and adherence to company’s policies and procedures at the highest standard for the benefit of the company.

    8. Ensure correct and accurate contract figures, terms and conditions, etc.

    9. Develop policies, processes and systems and monitor adherence to these to ensure that policies and processes are defined and implemented.

    10. Provide professional advice, guidance and practical assistance to his / her staff’s and internal customers regarding contracting strategies, policies and procedures.

    11. Manage performance report of existing contracts with coordination of end-users.

    12. Enhance quality in contract management.

    13. Develop standard terms and conditions / Contract templates for all the Categories and types of Contract.

    39. Perform other duties as delegated by Vice President - Supply Chain Management.

    Value Added to Business

    40. Develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiations with suppliers concerning legal and contractual terms and conditions to eliminate risks or achieve lower / optimum risk for Oman Air.

    Workforce Management

  • 41. Ensure that all Contracts staff adhere to the company policies and business ethics;
  • 42. Identify, assess and manage on the Job Training needs for all staff under his division and coordinate with the Training Department to ensure relevant Training Courses are provided to qualified staffs;
  • Contributing Policing Making

    Monitor and recommend amendments in policies and procedures based on the business needs to ensure they are current.

    Risk Mitigation

    Review contracts, assess and mitigate the risks and ensure suppliers adhere to all contract Terms of Conditions.

    Research Activities

    Review, evaluate and benchmark processes and performance with other airlines / organisations and streamline processes, if required.

    Business Plan

    Assist Vice President Supply Chain Management in preparing short term and long term business plans.

    People Management

  • 45. Select, train and develop subordinates to ensure continuous improvement of human resource function;
  • 46. Conduct periodic staff performance appraisal in line with the company’s performance appraisal system.
