Jumeirah Muscat Bay is a resort style beach front property with 206 keys and consists of a dive centre, conference facilities, rooms, suites, villas, a spa and a gym.

This luxury resort is located in a picturesque cove of Bandar Jissah, near to Qantab and is nestled between the Hajjar Mountains and the Gulf of Oman.

It is located 15 minutes south of the city centre and 40 minutes from Muscat International Airport. About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly talented and experienced Hospitality professional to join the Preopening team at Jumeirah Muscat Bay.

The main purpose of this position is to effectively and efficiently develop the launch and post launch marketing and communications strategies and initiatives for driving Rooms & F&B business (on-

and off-line). You will also manage the naming and positioning of the new opening hotel and all outlets, ensuring brand identity creation, operational collaterals and launch campaign concepts are implemented.

You will manage the pre-opening and operational budgets for all new proposed hotels, as well as actively monitor, guide and implement Jumeirah brand standards implementation, alignment / compliance within the new hotel openings.

Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Develop an annual marketing and strategic budget plan for Jumeirah Muscat Bay in cooperation with the Regional Marketing Director, that includes, Channel strategy, CRM, Loyalty, Partnerships & Digital marketing
  • Proactively interact with pre-opening Sales and Revenue teams on development and deployment of direct channel marketing programs that support acquisition and retention tactics
  • Work directly with hotel and regional sales & revenue colleagues to develop direct marketing initiatives that measurably impact room revenue and drive incremental revenue from business extensions including spa, retail and F&B
  • Interact with the Regional MEASA Marketing, Sales & Revenue teams as well as the General Manager for wider campaigns and hotel based marketing activities
  • Work closely with the hotel and brand PR teams, Brand Digital, CRM, Loyalty marketing teams to ensure support of brand performance, VSG and brand marketing & PR strategies
  • Interactions with preopening hotel, operations colleagues for any wider marketing opportunities and ensure smooth coordination of campaigns
  • As a Brand champion, ensure hotel alignment with Jumeirah Brand Strategy; this includes bringing the Jumeirah brand to life among regional colleagues and customers alike
  • Initiate competitive and customer insight projects to help support any direct business opportunities and revenue generating, product / service innovations.
  • Work with Group e-commerce and distribution team to develop regional wide innovative / profitable digital Rooms, Loyalty, Partnerships and F&B marketing strategies
  • Support partnership marketing relationship to launch regional specific Rooms and F&B campaigns
  • Coordinate multi property seasonal rooms, F&B and spa offers from a creative, media and activation perspective
  • Support the Jumeirah Muscat Bay with a robust marketing launch campaign and execute and deliver all operational collateral support
  • Follow up and investigate on market trends and new promotional activities in order to stay the leader in the respective markets
  • Fully support recruitment and talent development of Marketing pre-opening teams as well as manage, motivate and support training activities
  • Qualifications

    About You In order to be considered for this role, you should have the following :

  • Marketing / Business Honours Degree
  • Printing management fundamentals
  • Technical understanding of photography, film, rich media
  • Market planning, Project management, basic accounting, strong negotiation skills and clear understanding of ROI analysis
  • Proficiency in new media / digital marketing and distribution
  • Analytical focus with strong quantitative and budget management skills
  • Lead and develop high performance teams
  • Minimum of 5+ years hotel / regional marketing experience in a similar role
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills and the ability to persuade others to consider a different point of view
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the passion in team building and motivation
  • Strong knowledge of all media forms, consumer research and marketing campaign development / management.
  • Creative and a critical trained eye for creative review
  • Multiple language skills including Arabic (desirable)
