Job Role :
Join us as a CrowneMeetings Manager. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some keyskills. For this vital role, we’re looking for someone who will beresponsible to :
Complete forecasts, plans, and productivityreports for management
Participate in the preparation of the annualdepartmental operating budget and financial plans.
Monitor budget and up sell products and serviceswhile minimizing waste to increase revenue.
Negotiate food and beverage prices, functionspace, and hotel services within approved departmental booking Guidelines.
Direct day to day conference / conventionactivities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and developmentgoals for team members.
Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback tohelp manage conflict and improve team member performance
Educate and train team members in compliancewith brand standards, service behaviours, and governmental regulations. Ensurestaff has the tools, training, and equipment to carry out job duties
Promote teamwork and quality service throughdaily communication and coordination with other departments.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels based onguest volume. Interact with outside contacts :
guests, vendors, and other contacts asneeded
Develops effective group / catering sales plansand actions.
Designs, develops and sells creative cateredevents.
Maximizes revenue by upselling packages andcreative food and beverage.
Understands the overall market - competitors'strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows howto sell against them.
Closes the best opportunities for property basedon market conditions and individual property needs.
Uses negotiating skills and creative sellingabilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
Handles complex business with significantrevenue potential as well as significant customer expectations.
Builds and strengthens relationships withexisting and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include salescalls, entertainment, FAM trips, exhibitions, etc.
Develops relationships within community tostrengthen and expand customer base for group / catering sales opportunities.
Provide guests with information (example : loyalty programs, area attractions, facility information) to enhance guestexperience via email campaigns, hosting FAM trips, site inspections as needed
Develop awareness and reputation of the hoteland the brand in the local community
Coordinate safety and security initiatives toensure meetings flow smoothly with minimal interruptions or problems.
