Holiday Inn Muscat Al Seeb is Set 2km from Muscat City Centre shopping mall, this laid-back, modern hotel is 9 kmfrom Muscat International Airport.

The 185 rooms equipped with an array ofmodern amenities and latest technology.

Job Overview : Sales Manager of Sales and Marketing in managementof all sales activities and events including direct sales, sales solicitation,sales administration, public relations and management of the sale team.

Promotesthe desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity,Respect, One Team and Service of the InterContinental Hotels Group and thebrand ethos.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Creates and implements special programmes toachieve greater productivity through :

oIncreasing occupancy

oIncreasing business volumeduring difficult periods

oIncreasing local food andbeverage banqueting sales

Manages key accounts.

Oversees the selling and servicing of groupbusiness.

Produces monthly Sales reports and forecasts.

Maintains close liaison withRegional / Corporate Sales teams and those of other IHG hotels to ensure thehotel receives proper corporate consideration, direction and support.

Procures new and repeat business for the hotelby monitoring contact with airlines, travel agencies, commercial houses,private clubs and professional associations within local, domestic andinternational markets.

Maintains contact with planners, corporateaccounts, incentive buyers, airlines and wholesalers, through personal salescalls, telephone contacts and written communications.

Under the guidance of your superior, directsall sales activities for Senior Sales Managers and Sales Executives to ensurethey meet the goals of the Revenue Plan.

Establishes and continuously updates mailinglists.

Comply with the Company’s Corporate Code ofConduct.

Familiarize yourself with the company valuesand model desired behaviors.

Plans and executes sales trips to major marketareas.

Attends major travel functions to promote salesfor the hotel.

Carry out other duties / tasks outside normalroutines but within the overall scope of the job.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in Sales Management.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team ofprofessionals.
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics andrequirements.
  • Presentation Skills, Client Relationships, EmphasizingExcellence, Energy Level, Negotiation, Prospecting Skills, Meeting Sales Goals,Creativity, Sales Planning, Independence, Motivation for Sales.
