The team of Technical Training Instructors are required to train Omani Nationals in the disciplines of Control & Automation, Process, Mechanical and Electrical & Instrumentation commissioning, as well as creating and developing the technical documents, presentations etc.
for the CSU Training department. This will require specialist technically written and referenced documentation hence the requirement for a controlled and methodical approach to the development of the subject documentation.
The Technical Trainer would also be functionally responsible for the training schedule of the trainees (both classroom based and in the field) and the practical aspects of their training.
To develop and maintain CSU related documentation in support of the Training Management System.
Provide guidance and support to trainees using your technical knowledge.
Development of schedules etc. for training interventions
Marking of assessment papers against answer sheets (CBTA and Interviews)
Providing a consistent and specialist base for TMS documentation across the organization.
Provide ad-hoc technical support as required
Various duties outside the normal scope of a training coordinator as and when required due to operational demand.
Key Result Areas during Development / Implementation :
Assist with Task Analysis and Classification process.
At times assist research, analyze, plan and draft Operating & Maintenance procedures and manuals.
Assist in the development of Competency Assessment packages.
Review existing documents; give advice on content and structure during upgrade process.
Deliver classroom and site based training as the subject matter expert (SME) for their respective field of CSU operations.
During Sustainment : Implement changes to procedures as identified by Management.Identify improvements to procedures during revalidation.
Assist in provision of procedures training to CSU teamsPerform as a Competency Assessor
Education and Skills
10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas facilities (or similar) in Operations or maintenance capacity.
5 years’ experience in developing Operating & Maintenance procedures or similar documents.
Possess the ability to act as mentor, trainer and competency assessor to a national workforce.
Proficient user of Microsoft and other related software and applications.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manuals e.g. P & IDs, PFDs, Isometrics.
Ability to interpret Single Line Diagrams, plot plans and vendor manuals.
Good command of English language both written and verbal.
Can produce technically accurate, complete and easy to understand’ documents.
