JobPurpose

To maximise and add value to theconstruction process by proactive involvement in quantity and cost managementand reporting.

To carry out monthly cost reviews on projects and forecast finalforecast values for contract and project costs. Maximise value of monthlyapplications and measurement and submission of contract variations.

AssistContracts department in timely submission of final accounts to the client andsubcontractors.

KeyResponsibilities

  • To carry out monthly valuationsof work in progress / value of work done (VOWD)
  • Prepare and monitor projectcash flow forecasts
  • Certification of subcontractormonthly valuations and final accounts
  • Measure, value, submit andnegotiate contract variations
  • Ongoing quantity measurementand re-measurement activities and reporting
  • Budget and forecast assessmentbased on updated project scope, revised MTO’s and BOQ’s
  • Strong working knowledge ofproject schedules and impact of activity duration changes and forecastcompletion dates
  • Provide advice to project staffon commercial and cost
  • Assist Contracts department toprepare submit and negotiate project final accounts
  • Ensure that business commercialprocesses are adhered to at project level
  • Assist in preparation andadherence to project targets and costing budgets
  • Manage and produce accurateformal reports in accordance with project timetable and deadlines
  • Monitor all commercialinformation in relation to project including labour, material and sub-contractorcost forecasting thus ensuring budgets adhered to
  • Supply all relevant informationfor review at the specified intervals set
  • Assist Project Controls Manager / Lead Cost Engineer with a range of other duties as may be required from timeto time
  • Qualifications

  • Technically qualified inQuantity Surveying / Cost Management or similar. Consideration given to relevantexperience
  • Minimum 5 years’ quantitysurveying experience within an Oil and Gas contracting / service provider organisation
  • Commercially astute, numerate,risk averse & able to accurately forecast cost
  • Multi-tasking, self-motivated,energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Have good practicalorganisation skills, planning of resources and programme scheduling
  • Be able to provide bothsummarized and detailed reports, on current activities
  • IT literate able to use MicrosoftOffice, in particular Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrable experience in EPC / EPCMcontracts
  • Able to work well within a teambased environment
  • Communicate regularly withproject staff and specialist subcontractors to ensure commercial controls arein place, understood and followed at all times
  • Good command of written andspoken English
  • Customer focused with abilityto communicate across all levels of seniority from the workface through toSenior Management level.
