The Company and the Role :
The company provides Catering and Facilities Management Services in the Middle East across a mix of clients including Remote Sites, Construction, Accommodation Camps, Education, Healthcare, Mining and Energy sectors.
They are seeking a QHSE Manager to be based in Muscat, Oman.
The position is permanent on an open ended contract.
Key Features of the Role :
You will maintain management systems and ensure recertification.
You will have active participation in tendering and development of HSE and Quality Plans and the development of policies and procedures.
You will undertake environmental health and safety planning which will include the setting of goals, agreeing priorities and establishing systems for performance management.
You will oversee the delivery of comprehensive operational technical training to promote develop and sustain a positive Health and Safety awareness culture throughout business operations.
You will provide appropriate accident investigation methodology to ensure personal management accountability and improve risk management.
This will include monitoring and interpretation of statistical data and creation of a monthly reports.
You will manage collaborative client relationships and expectations relevant to the job role and maintain formal and informal communications with clients.
You will check compliance to all company / contract, documentation, audits and administration procedures are carried out to the company standard.
Knowledge and Skills :
You will be an accomplished QHSE Manager ideally with experience in an oil and gas environment.
Your focus will be on Quality Management and Tender preparation. 70 % Quality 30 % HSE.
You will ideally be experienced in Facilities Management / Life Support Services and had operational experience and or in Quality Management.
You will be able to demonstrate achievement of continuous improvement in the workplace and have conducted Internal audits to an ISO standard.
Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
You will be resourceful with a flexible outlook, have the ability to multi-task in order to handle competing priorities and be able to fit in to an international dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
Finally, you should possess a Drivers Licence and be PC / IT literate particularly with MS Office.
