The Location

Crowne Plaza Duqm is 8kms from the town centre and 600kms from Muscat, thehotel offers comprehensive business facilities with interpretation of Omaniarchitecture.

This hotel features 213 deluxe rooms and suites overlooking thescenic coastline, fully equipped fitness centre with kid's and adult's pools,choice for conference and meetings, also features two ballrooms, etc.

At the moment we're looking for a young andenergetic Inventory & Cost Accounting Supervisor to join our professional and friendly team atCrowne Plaza Duqm.

you willperform the following functions and activities :

  • Stocks,picks and issues materials based on purchase orders generated
  • Workswith Receiving to ensure materials get into inventory in a timely manner
  • Ensuresitems are labeled with required information to ensure traceability and first-in-first-out practices.
  • Compilesand maintains records of quantity and type of items or supplies stocked : Countsitems or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records, manually orusing computer.
  • Completesapplicable records when filling orders or moving inventory
  • Preparesreports, such as inventory balance and shortages
  • Communicatescurrent status of filling orders and communicates any issues with fillingorders
  • Prepareslist of depleted items
  • Completesand distributes daily cost and monthly sales potential reports as requested bymanagement and as outlined in the cost control manual.
  • Inventorytaking for F & B , general supplies and operating equipment.
  • Verifyposting by receiving agent and store men.
  • Performsmenus costing and recipes costing when required.
  • Identifiesand organizes adequate storage for all perpetual inventory items.
  • Reviewbar stock in coordination with F&B Department.
  • Provideand distribute monthly slow moving items report.
  • Protectsinventories from waste, spoilage and theft.
  • Maintainall CSA questions and files related to the cost control section
  • Performsrelated duties and special projects as assigned.
  • We expect an approachable and affable individualwho must beam with confidence around new faces. Apart from that we expect fromemployees of all fields to have a keen eye for detail and aesthetics to someextent and this quality must reflect in the work that you do.

    Qualifications

    A minimum of 2 years in a 4 or 5 star hotel experience in asimilar capacity is a must. Preferably worked with IHG properties and alsoshould have in-

    depth knowledge with wideexperience in inventory, F&B costing, bar reconciliation and FBMsystem knowledge. Must be able to handle Inventory & cost control section independently.

    English being the common language used between colleagues at Crowne Plaza Duqm,basic knowledge of the Arabic will be an advantageous.
